Membership is valid for one year from purchase. Meetings are held monthly at the studio and are free for members to attend.

No experience is needed. The club is open to beginners, hobbyists, and experienced collectors alike.

Yes! You’re encouraged to bring rocks, fossils, or finds for identification or to share with the group.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, but you’re welcome to bring your own finds, questions, or just come to listen and learn. -
Field trips are informal group outings to local rockhounding locations. These trips are brainstormed and discussed during meetings and planned as a group. Details are shared with members ahead of time.

The Big Rapids Rock, Gem & Mineral Club exists to foster curiosity, learning, and appreciation for the natural world through mineralogy, geology, paleontology, and the lapidary arts. We aim to share knowledge, encourage hands-on exploration, and support the collecting, study, and display of stones, fossils, and minerals. Through community gatherings, educational resources, and organized field trips, we bring people together to discover, create, and connect.
